Full-time and part-time students who are not on academic leave may apply for Erasmus+ studies, provided that they have successfully completed their first year of studies, have a cumulative weighted average grade of at least 7.0 for the entire study period, and have been promoted to the next year of studies. Students who have outstanding academic debts or unresolved financial obligations at their home institution are not eligible for Erasmus+ studies.

Each student may participate in exchange studies and traineeships during each study cycle, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral level, multiple times, provided that the total duration of mobility does not exceed 12 months within one study cycle. This total includes all mobility activities combined, such as long-term semester studies, short-term mobility lasting 5 to 30 days, and study-related traineeships.

Students may apply for exchange studies only at partner universities with which the BA School of Business and Finance of the University of Latvia has concluded a bilateral cooperation agreement.

By submitting all required pre-mobility documents and fulfilling all pre-mobility requirements, students receive 90% of the EC grant and the full LV co-funding. Blended Intensive Programmes

The Erasmus+ programme’s new initiative offers short-term mobility. Blended Intensive Programmes consist of a virtual mobility component and a physical mobility component. The physical mobility must be at least 5 days. Students participating in a Blended Intensive Programme must earn at least 3 ECTS credits, which are certified to the host institution abroad. Students taking part in a Blended Intensive Programme receive European Commission funding of €79 per mobility day and Latvian state co-funding of €30 per mobility day. A Learning Agreement for the Blended Intensive Programme and an Erasmus+ grant agreement are signed for each participating student.

Students of the BA School of Business and Finance of the University of Latvia can participate in Blended Intensive Programmes through foreign Business Weeks. Information about Business Weeks is announced separately on the university website and/or the university’s social communication platforms. Erasmus+ supported Business Weeks provide insight into how Erasmus+ mobility works. They are available for students considering long-term Erasmus+ studies for a semester, as well as for students who have never considered participating in Erasmus+ studies and want to try short-term mobility.

Erasmus+ funding for short-term mobility is available only with those partner universities of the BA School of Business and Finance that implement Blended Intensive Programme mobilities.
