The mission of the University of Latvia is expressed in its motto, “For Science and the Fatherland.” The University of Latvia contributes to global processes in science, higher education, knowledge and technology transfer, and innovation, while fostering the development of Latvia’s democracy and culture, the advancement of the Latvian language, and the prosperity of the national economy.
BA School of Business and Finance of University of Latvia
The mission of the BA School of Business and Finance is, in line with the mission of the University of Latvia, to develop human capital in the fields of financial technologies, sustainable entrepreneurship, business process management and risk management in the digital age, by providing internationally recognised specialised business education based on research and close partnership with industry, policymakers and society. It is integrated into the ecosystem of the University of Latvia as a research university and contributes to the growth of the Latvian economy.

UL creates an interdisciplinary, open and innovation-oriented excellent working and study environment. Vision of the BA School of Business and Finance of University of Latvia until 2030: to become the leading financial technology and business school in the Baltic Sea region, recognised by international accreditations, offering innovative study programmes, formats and continuously up-to-date content in close cooperation with industry, while fostering a strong impact on society and the digital and economic development of the region.
