On Friday, 26 June 2026, 146 new specialists in finance and business management joined the alumni community of the BA School of Business and Finance of the University of Latvia. Diplomas and certificates of recognition were awarded to graduates at all levels of study, including graduates of the short-cycle professional higher education programmes, bachelor's and master's programmes, as well as one doctoral graduate.

To make this special day even more memorable, every graduate received a personal congratulatory message from Andris Nātriņš, Acting Dean of the BA School of Business and Finance of the University of Latvia, together with their diploma and certificate of recognition:

“Today marks an important milestone in your educational and professional journey. It is the day when one significant chapter comes to an end and another begins, bringing new choices, opportunities, and responsibilities for how you will apply the knowledge, skills, and experience you have gained.

On behalf of the University of Latvia Business School, I would like to sincerely thank you for your trust, your respect, and for choosing to study with us. Choosing where to study is never merely a formal decision. It is a decision to invest in your future, your professional identity, and your ability to become an active, thoughtful, and responsible member of both your professional community and society.

Special thanks to our distinguished guests of honour at the graduation ceremony:

  • Professor Mārcis Auziņš, Chairman of the Council of the University of Latvia, who encouraged graduates to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and never be afraid to think beyond conventional boundaries, as this is what paves the way to success.
  • Uldis Cērps, CEO of the Finance Latvia Association, who reminded graduates that the greatest value in the financial sector is trust, built on professionalism, responsibility, and ethical conduct.
  • Mārtiņš Bičevskis, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the BA School of Business and Finance of the University of Latvia, who encouraged graduates to embrace challenges, keep an open mind, and confidently shape both their professional and personal journeys.
  • Dr. Ardian Retkoceri, Head of Faculty of the SBS Swiss Business School, who warmly addressed the graduates with the following message: "I wish you success in your career, happiness in your life, and the courage to make every place better simply because you were there."

The graduation ceremony also continued the tradition of recognising the authors of the year's outstanding bachelor's and master's theses. Congratulations to the recipients of the BA School of Business and Finance Foundation Awards: Kristers Sils, Andis Jēkabsons, Sandra Polone, Adrija Elizabete Švēde-Grīnberga, Viktorija Zaviša, Mārtiņš Priedītis, Romualds Čerņavskis, Liāna Posmanika, Elīza Betija Ruskule, Valters Survilo, Kaspars Kociņš, Otto Krickis, Raimonds Udačs, Armands Rikmanis, Nikita Kholin, and Jānis Kristiāns Andersons.

We sincerely thank our graduates for the heartfelt words of appreciation and best wishes they expressed both in writing and in their graduation speeches to the academic staff, programme directors, study coordinators, the entire BA School of Business and Finance of the University of Latvia team, and, of course, their fellow students.
